Currently - It's June, Wow!

Update: because I'm sure you're all dying to know. I went the first time when the dishwasher was 'done' - um it NEVER ran. I tried again. It ran all the way through and wouldn't ya know, that little stinker of a roach was dead as a doornail on the bottom of the dishwasher. I'll be calling maintenance tomorrow to fix my dishwasher and to get an exterminator up in here!

I'm linking up with Farley for her monthly currently! I've been waiting for this. I mean seriously, I was waiting and waiting for her to post it. I was so excited. Here I was, I had time to be super quick about it and then blah, blah, blah (that was just for you Farley) so she goes and posts on fb it'll be up at noon Texas time. Well my lazy bum was still at home at noon Atlanta time!!! But at noon Texas time I had gotten myself up with my Starbucks coupon to try the Green Tea Frappuccino that Hadar posted about a couple of weeks ago (trying to be as cool as all you west coast bloggers) and while I was standing in line at Starbucks I looked at my phone and my dear sweet Farley posted it. So here I am all 'late' to the par-tay. (Dear goodness, I really hope you all know I am kidding with sarcasm here).

Listening: I gotta add a quick funny (or maybe gross) story about the dishwasher: so I opened it up to unload so I could reload it - that's right I'm also lazy people. And there's was a roach. I said I'm lazy, not that I live in filth. I do live on the bottom floor of an apartment complex in Atlanta. It's summertime. I'm used to bugs. However, I tried to kill the roach and I guess it ran back through a pipe (okay listen, if you've lived in NYC this is nothing - and I have). Anyway, I decided it was gross enough that I should rerun that load of dishes again, but that there was room to add. So I was rinsing out a glass to add and I banged it on the cabinet near the sink. It broke, out of my hand, landed into the sink on a bowl, broke the bowl (one of my good bowls, mind you - like my every day bowls! now my set is incomplete :( I mean never a dull moment. That roach better be far far away. Or dead!

Loving, Thinking, Wanting - all of these have to do with cleaning and eating. I had a lazy morning and went to Starbucks as you know. Then Whole foods and Target. I'm pretty sure all of those places are like traps. I mean Starbucks is trying to get you with all of their Oprah goodness and their 'if you buy a cold cup we'll fill it with your favorite Frap for free.' I was strong though. I stuck with my coupon for a free drink! Then Whole Foods did it too with this lady and her Nektar honey crystals. Your sample was good, but I'll take your sample and see myself out with my coupons and fruit! Oh but Target and your bullseye! I had my coupons but you overpowered me with the white and navy bench that matches my bedroom. It's in the car. It's not allowed to come in until everything is clean.

Needing - for real. It's dinnertime here.

Bucket list - seriously, can anyone help me with #2? I'd be so appreciative!

Okay, laundry load is done, and maybe the dishwasher too. I'm on a roach hunt. Gotta run. Happy June. :)

  2. Oh man! I am so lucky not to have roaches where I live! I'm off to do a few loads of laundry myself (I'm a couple hours behind you here in Oregon).

Best of luck with teaching summer school!

  4. EW! I think I would just about lose my cookies if I saw a roach in my dishwasher! (Northern Minnesota=No Huge Nasty Bugs...) But, your story was pretty funny to read. Had me smilin' all the way through.

The best way I have found to make an editable TpT product, is to first make it (just graphics, titles, etc.) and then save as JPEG. Open a new file and drop in your JPEGs for each page. That will keep your graphics/fonts safe. Then add text boxes so buyers can type. Save as powerpoint (or something similar) so buyers can edit. Hope this helps! I learned this from the fabulous Jivey. Check it out: http://ideasbyjivey.blogspot.com/2013/06/tried-it-tuesday-editable-tpt-products.html
